Medicine has always been a part of my life. My dad is a surgeon. My grandmother is a retired obstetrical nurse. My sister and I have had operations. I have always enjoyed going to the hospital with my dad. I’ve always taken an interest in it, for it is very diverse. There are many surgical specialties along with the many non-surgical counterparts! So many ways to get inspired in medicine, and that's why I love it!

 

I can always remember asking to go with my dad when he gets the annoying call to come into surgery. Who doesn't want to witness their father cut open a stranger? I know I do, and that's what drives me to do it too!
